stripers and sturgeon, saturday was a pretty stuff day out there, only had four bites for no fish, and on sunday a different story, we caught one striper and had three sturgeon swim with are baits,but this last week from vierras resort in isleton to woodsen bridge in corning,the fish being caught in the lower river are huge bright chromer fish, and the fish upriver are on the the dark side, silvertron spinners in lower river seem to be doing the trick and flatfish in the upper river, you just have to keep moving and put your time in to get to these fish,as they are moving in and out in river, counts are down from last year, good news only can get better, striper fishing still remains good in delta and sacramento river trolling bombers or rapalpas,a few salmon being caught while trolling for striper, blacl bass fishing remains pretty good on the delta and folsom, and berryessa, had a chance to go to lake orville on saturday and help a friend noak walker to prefish for his up comming bass tournament with future pro, fished main body of water and caught fish off every point, lost one huge fish,couldnt bring him off the bottom, popped the hook, these fish were taken by dart heading, noak, good luck next weekend...ill be salmon fishing for the rest of week, trying to figure it all out, water temps are comming down somewhat, so maybe that will push some salmon in the start with black bass fishing, fished folsom last wednesday with the singing group los lonely boys,only one boat ramp open, lake water low, drop shotted most of the day and had a few takers to a couple of pounds, fished the delta yesterday, and wind blowing hard, so we had to tug into some sloughs to get out of wind, we ended up catching about a dozen fish and loosing twice as many, limited nice big bass, top water and frogs working early, rock walls using crawdad color crank baits, and around tules use senkos in brown and charthuse tip, average 15-20 fish aday,berryessa and folsom, the delta continues to be the place to fish for black bass, on august 3rd i had the pleasure of taking out one of he owners from american bass assocation , we put in stockton and fished whiskey slough, we caught 17 bass including a big 8 pounder taken on a zoom worm in jug bug color, then on august 8th took a law enforcement chaplian out for aday and put in at brandon island, again it was a 17 fish day including a 7 pounder caught on a senko brown and chartue color, we fished all day in eddos,on sunday august 5th fished lake berryessa, pretty stuff fishing because of all the ski and jet skiers on lake, but managed to catch some fish early, fished the points and drop offs in 30 feet of water drop shotting, NOW FOR SALMON FISHERMAN,the good news is the water temps comming down now, on tuesday the 7th of august fished out of discovery park in sacramento, no fish to speak of, should get better in the next couple weeks,farther up north on sacramento river remains about a fish per rod Report: as the water temperature warms up the black bass fishing is getting better day by day, out fishing last sunday with KathyJo Glaneman of rancho Cordova, never been Black Bass fishing in her
