hi guys and gals,the weather was beautiful last saturday and sunday on the delta, had clients out both days on the delta fishing for stripers and sturgeon, saturday was a pretty stuff day out there, only had four bites for no fish, and on sunday a different story, we caught one striper and had three sturgeon swim with are baits,but no hook up, water temp still alittle cool, but the bite will pick up as the water temps warm up,

as the rains have moved out and the cold weather sets in and salmon season now closed, its time to move on to striper fishing in the delta, striper fishing rated fair in delta as you have to watch your pole, very light bite,now for you lake fisherman that like black bass and trout fishing, berryessa doing very well for spotted bass to 4 pounds, fishing the points ,trout fishing doing very well with trout beiong caught, fish 8-20 deep trolling, clear lake has slowed down somewhat due to the cold, toss crankbaits and you should do ok, now for you river fishermans, steelhead fishing is picking up with a few hogs comming in on the sacramento, american and feather rivers, use glow bugs, little cleos, and night crawlers,hope to see you all on the delta, lakes and rivers,

hi guys and gals, just wanted to take a few moments and wish everyone happy holidays and happy new year,as the rain continues,which we need, the salmon season wines down and closes dec 31st from red bluff to the ocean, but will still be open from red bluff up to anderson till january 14th,theres still some good fishing to be had on these snugs,as they are big, now for the california delta, some nice stripers are being caught now, lake berryessa continues to be good for black bass and trout, folsom lake is good for black bass and trout right now too, and clear lake is still kicking out some monster black bass,

hi guys and gals, SALMON fishing on the sacramento river continues to be on the slow side,fished all this last week from vierras resort in isleton to woodsen bridge in corning,the fish being caught in the lower river are huge bright chromer fish, and the fish upriver are on the the dark side, silvertron spinners in lower river seem to be doing the trick and flatfish in the upper river, you just have to keep moving and put your time in to get to these fish,as they are moving in and out in small pods.see you on the river, steve adams s and c guide service

hi guys and gals, salmon season continues to be slow on the sacramento river, counts are down from last year, good news only can get better, striper fishing still remains good in delta and sacramento river trolling bombers or rapalpas,a few salmon being caught while trolling for striper, blacl bass fishing remains pretty good on the delta and folsom, and berryessa, had a chance to go to lake orville on saturday and help a friend noak walker to prefish for his up comming bass tournament with future pro, fished main body of water and caught fish off every point, lost one huge fish,couldnt bring him off the bottom, popped the hook, these fish were taken by dart heading, noak, good luck next weekend...ill be salmon fishing for the rest of week, trying to figure it all out, water temps are comming down somewhat, so maybe that will push some salmon in the system, have some great rates for the rest of month, so give a call, until then, tight lines and good luck, steve

hi guys and gals, ill start with black bass fishing, fished folsom last wednesday with the singing group los lonely boys,only one boat ramp open, lake water low, drop shotted most of the day and had a few takers to a couple of pounds, fished the delta yesterday, and wind blowing hard, so we had to tug into some sloughs to get out of wind, we ended up catching about a dozen fish and loosing twice as many, limited to what we could do, so we threw plastic baits , now for you striper fisherman, taking some nice fish in the rio vista, isleton area trolling rapipas and bombers, salmon fishing continues to be alittle ruff, you really have to work for them,if your interested in going fishing, give me a call as i have some special rates for the rest of the month of september, tight lines steve adams s and c guide service

hi guys and gals, its hot in northern california, ill start with the black bass fishing, the delta continues to get out some nice big bass, top water and frogs working early, rock walls using crawdad color crank baits, and around tules use senkos in brown and charthuse tip, average 15-20 fish aday,berryessa and folsom, could top water bite in morning, and when sun comes up fish points to 30 ft, using jigs or plastics, average 15 fish a day, NOW FOR THE SALMON FISHING ON THE SACRAMENTO RIVER, small pods of fish moving in every day, you just have to keep moving and you will find them, when you do they are nice chrome fish, and yes the seals are here too, have some excellent dates still available for sept oct, see you on the river, thanks steve adams s and c guide service

hi guys and gals, now to get caught up on the guide trips of this last week, the delta continues to be the place to fish for black bass, on august 3rd i had the pleasure of taking out one of he owners from american bass assocation , we put in stockton and fished whiskey slough, we caught 17 bass including a big 8 pounder taken on a zoom worm in jug bug color, then on august 8th took a law enforcement chaplian out for aday and put in at brandon island, again it was a 17 fish day including a 7 pounder caught on a senko brown and chartue color, we fished all day in eddos,on sunday august 5th fished lake berryessa, pretty stuff fishing because of all the ski and jet skiers on lake, but managed to catch some fish early, fished the points and drop offs in 30 feet of water drop shotting, NOW FOR SALMON FISHERMAN,the good news is the water temps comming down now, on tuesday the 7th of august fished out of discovery park in sacramento, no fish to speak of, should get better in the next couple weeks,farther up north on sacramento river remains about a fish per rod and that will get better as the salmon move up the river system. so book early and get the dates you, from bass fishing to salmon fishing,thanks and have a great day steve adams s and c guide service

hi guys and gals, lets talk salmon first, sacramento river salmon, better start this year, best fishing from woodson bridge to the red bluff conversion dam, average one fish per rod, using flatfish with a sardine wrapper, salmon fishing isleton to sacramento very slow, but should improve shorty, now for you black bass fisherman and striper fans, black bass continue to be hot in the delta, top water early, and jigs and senkos after sun comes up, fish the tule lines as that where there hiding, striper fishing in delta, rated fair, with alot of bait stealers,but there is some 5-7 pounders to be had, now for lake berryessa, black bass bite still wide open, fish up to 6 pounds, fish top water in water, drop shotting in 30-40 feet of water will produce fish also, so guys and gals get out there and do some fishing, i have open dates for august and september, so book now and get the date you want.

what a difference with a little warm weather for you black bass anglers, first will start with folsom, out sunday with clients,fished points tossing spinnerbaits, landed numoeros spotted bass to four pounds,now the delta, what can i say, this fishery is awesome, caught fish all day long to seven pounds on monday,hitting just about anything,clear lake WOW,THIS FISHERY IS ON FIRE, it took 74 pounds to win the tournament over weekend , berryessa producing solid fish to six pounds , so take your pick, its let the good times roll again.

happy new years guys and gals, as salmon season is in its last week, fished out of balls ferry yesterday, only a few salmon caught, but they were bright chrome fish and big,as for you black bass fisherman, berryessa contining to kick out alot of bass, fishing the narrows with plastics in 15-20 ft of water, folsom lake alittle on slow side, fish in 35-40 ft of water and slow with drop shot or jigs,delta for striper has slowed down due to cold weather, fish fresh shad,black bass on delta continues to be fair to good, on crankbaits and plastics, now for you steelhead fisherman, american river has a ton of fish in system, i will be fishing the following for next couple of months, delta for stripers and black bass, all the lakes for black bass and the american river for steelhead, so if any of this interest you, give me a call oe e-mail and get in on the fun

over this last weekend had a couple of striper trips in the rio vista area, have to go thru a lot of bait to get thru the shakers,but are some nice stripers to be had, salmon continues to be slow on lower sacramento river, graphed a small pod on friday making there way up river, so maybe theres still some hope for the season,salmon season closes january 14th on sacramento river

oct 18th and 19th fished out of vierras resort for salmon, lots of boat traffic, you have to fish hard for them, we lost two at the boat, one going over 40lbs and the other at about 25 lbs, but i can say this these fish are chromers and full of fight.....fishing with silverton spinners chrome plates with red beads.

oct 17th, went out for first striper trip of season with clients from pacific steel, fished around decker island and brannon island, wind came up and was pretty rough, we ended up catching about 50 shakers, but no keepers,caught on shad and antochives

hi guys and gals, for you black bass fisherman, the california delta remains just great, had a client out on friday fishing franks tract and we caught over 30 bass, throwing frogs and plastics, on wednesday and thrusday had clients out on clear lake fishing south end of lake, just unbelieveable, we stopped counting after 40 fish, everything we threw at them they eat up, fish to 8 pounds

onm 5/22-5/23 fished the california delta with couple gentlemen who were at to write a book on central california and the california delta, neither one has ever bass fish before, first day put out on russo marina and eddos, dutch,taylor, and piper slough caught between 15-20 bass up to 3 lb using senkos, 2nd day put in buckley cove in stockton fished whiskey slough and main channel caught another 15-20 bass up to 4 lbs, using plastics,all in all not bad for beginners ,good job guys

the california delta is the home of some of the biggest bass on west coast, flw having there tournament this week and two fish over 14 pounds came in smashing old record,you needed 35 pounds to make cut,thats some big weight, will be awesome for next couple of weeks as fish are on there beds

finally we got some warm weather, had a guide trip on lake berryessa yesterday, left out markley cove and fished the narrows, we had 30 hook ups and landed 20 of them, mixed bag of smallmouths and largemouths to four pounds, all taken on senkos in 4-10 feet of water,lake is full. fishing should only get better as lake stablizes.

as the rivers are still very swollen and basically unfishable, the calironia delta has been kicking out some awesome black bass to 14 lbs, this fishery is by far the best in the west,and nows the time to fish it, clear lake has been kicking out some big limits of blackbass,another great fishery in the west, so if your looking for an exciting experienece, nows the time to book a trip of a lifetime,

guys and gals as the rains of march continue, and most rivers blown out, i have been focusing on black bass fishing delta, berryessa, clear lake, folsom, with the bite on all being pretty good with quaility fish on all waters to 6 pounds, most days producing 10-15 fish an outing, salmon season will be opening july 16th so book early and get the dates you want, with all this water, should be good year, hopefully the sacramento and american river will come back in shape, because there are some awesome steelhead in there right now, you can call or e-mail me to answer any questions.

guys and gals, lake berryessa bass bite is on fire now, as im a director for american bass and a fishing guide, i saw and the biggest smallie it weight in at over 6 pounds and the guys who won the tounament had a 13 and 2 11s to win the tournament last week , which was worth 4000.00 to them

well guys and gals as the new year is here, and rains and floods have taken its toll on central and northern california, salmon season is closed up to red bluff and very unlikely the river will come into shape above red bluff,salmon season is all done till july,i will be fishing the california delta for stripers and black bass as soon as it is safe to get on the water, before the rains and floods the delta was kicking out some nice stripers from 3-10 lbs on fresh shad, only going to get better as delta comes back into shape,i want to wish all you guys and gals a happy new year, tight lines steve adams s and c guide service

on october 18th took mark matinez and his two brothers and father and friend don thomas out for the day, launched out of discovery park, went down to miller park on the sacramento river, day started out slow,we hooked and landed three beauitful bright chrome salmon in early afternoon weighting 30, 22, and 20 pounds , all caught on silvertron spinners, great job guys, were going out again today.

saturday october 8th out with a couple from stockton, fishing the sacramento river metro area lots of boat traffic, managed to got one salmon around 10 pounds, it was chromer,trolling a silverron spinner, october 9th out with a father and sons team from rancho cordova, plenty of boat traffic, they landed a heathly chrome salmon of about twenty pounds, all three battle the big fish for about thirty minutes, great job guys,

october 5th fishing the sacramento river out of discoery park, fished with dusty and dustin conn from reno nevada, alot of boats in river fishing, we only had one take down for the day but its a hum-dinker, dustin, landed a beautiful 40 pound salmon, this fish was a chromer, the fish of a lifetime, look for photo in next fishsniffer addition, caught on a silverton spinner, only going to get better, have some great dates open for november when the big boys get here

saturday october 1st fishing the california delta for black bass with a father-son team, maurice and adrian gutierrez of el dorado hills, wind blowing very hard. so we fish some sloughs out of the wind in west delta ended up catching about twenty bass on senkos, adrian ,the son ended up catching his first black bass and the biggest black bass of the day about a four pounder , see photo next fish sniffer paper

this last week i have fished for black bass and stripers in the delta with good results, stripers from 3 -10 pounds on cut baits and trollong lures, black bass to 6 pounds on flippin plastics and throwing crank baits, also fished the the sacramento river for salmon, very heavy boat traffic on weekends ,spooks the salmon, during week days good results for kings from 8-30 pounds , so book your trips on weekdays if possible, your rate of sucess will go up , also fish the american for salmon and stripers for a day, not very salmon in the american, that is going to change very fast, stripers from 3-5 pinds caught on cut baits and live baits, have a great day and good luck to all steve adams s and c guide service

on saturday august 27th, i decided to take a break from salmon fishing , and went to clear lake to do some largemouth fishing, fishing wide open, early morning hours fish in a foot of water, took numerous fish on top water, as soon as sun up switch over to crank baits in about 10-12 feet, caught about 50 bass for day, ranging from two pounds to a six and half pounder, fishing great on clear lake, even manage to catch a catfish on a crankbait,

saturday 7/30/05, this trip had to be fishing guides dream and his clients, went fishing in the california delta, and went out of b and w, third flip by tom prduct an 8 pound largemouth, needless to say caught and release sixty bass , any where from dinks up to the monster 8 pounder, are best 5 weigh in around 18 pounds, not a bad day for a weekend, thanks and great fishing

wednesday july 27th fishing the sacramento river and american river, went out of discovery park, with ron and his 12 year old son from roseville, fished the sac river from the minnow hole up and into the american river to proably 65th street brigde, we had one take down,but no fish. we did see a 4 fish limit taken, with the biggest fish around 25 pounds, in the next week this area will exploy, water temp is at 64 degrees, get ready because its comming. i still have good dates so book early and get the good dates, its going to be hog hookin shorty,

as the water temperature warms up the black bass fishing is getting better day by day, out fishing last sunday with KathyJo Glaneman of rancho Cordova, never been Black Bass fishing in her life, not only did she catch her first legal bass, but five of them, weighting anywhere from a pound three quarters to three pounds, great day fishing we ended up with 15 keepers to three and half pounds all were caught on senkos, and white spinnerbaits ,only going to get better
